Oxford University Gazette

The University Gazette, which has been published continuously since 1870, is the authorised journal of record of the University of Oxford. The Gazette is published online on Thursdays during term.

A mobile-friendly email précis is sent to subscribers each time a new issue is published. For further information on email subscriptions, please see our Subscriptions webpage.

Next issue and Easter office closure

The final Gazette of Hilary term was published on 27 March. The first issue of Trinity term will be published on 24 April and will include the termly lectures supplement. The deadline for submissions for the lecture supplement, and any other time-sensitive items for publication in that issue, will be brought forward to 11 April because of Easter office closures.

Print publication ended

As of March 2020 the Gazette has been published online only as a result of office and printer closures. GPC and Council subsequently decided that print production would not resume after the end of COVID-19-related lockdowns. Copies are now printed in a limited run for libraries and archives if requested. A list of libraries receiving print copies is available online.
